Cauliflower Steak
A flat slice of organic cauliflower marinated in onion, garlic, ginger, Indian curry powder, dried chili flakes, olive oil, and white wine vinegar, then seared on a hot griddle.

- 1 head cauliflower
- 1 onion, diced
- 3-4 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- Indian curry powder, to taste
- Dried chili flakes, to taste
- Olive oil
- White wine vinegar
- Butter (for cooking)
- Lemon wedge (for serving)

Cut the cauliflower in half through the stem to get a flat slice.

Place the cauliflower half in a baking dish. Sprinkle with curry powder and chili flakes.

Add diced onion, peeled garlic cloves, and sliced ginger to the dish.

Pour olive oil and white wine vinegar over the cauliflower. Use your hands to coat everything well.

Let marinate for about 1 hour (less is fine).

Heat a griddle or pan over high heat. Add butter and olive oil.

Sear the cauliflower for 10 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for 8 minutes on the other side.

Remove the onion, ginger, etc. Transfer the cauliflower to a cutting board.

Squeeze lemon wedge over the cooked cauliflower. Serve immediately.
