Valentine's Comfort Chicken with Applesauce and Mash
A relaxed yet impressive Valentine's dinner: juicy pan-seared chicken with homemade applesauce and creamy mashed potatoes.

- 2 apples
- 2 potatoes
- 1 chicken breast
- Olive oil
- Butter
- Fresh thyme
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Pepper

Peel and chop potatoes. Boil in salted water until tender, then drain and mash.

Peel, core, and chop apples. Simmer in a pot with a little water until soft, then mash into applesauce.
