Grilled Bread with Comté, Tomato, Shallot, and Mustard
A simple yet insanely good open-faced sandwich with grilled bread, superb butter, aged Comté, fresh tomato, sweet shallot, grainy mustard, and a squeeze of lemon.

Grill the bread until golden and crisp.

Spread a generous layer of butter on the grilled bread.

Place a slice of Comté cheese on the buttered bread.

Slice the tomato and place a slice on top of the cheese.

Peel and dice the shallot, then sprinkle over the tomato.

Add a spoonful of grainy mustard on top.
