Teppanyaki garlic shrimp with bean sprouts
Quick and easy teppanyaki-style shrimp with garlic, chili, and bean sprouts, finished with soy sauce and mirin.
What goes in
- 300 g raw peeled shrimp
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 fresh red chili pepper
- 1 lemon
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp mirin
- 2 long spring onions
- 150 g fresh bean sprouts
How to do it

Heat olive oil on a teppanyaki plate or in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes until they start to turn pink.

Add the garlic cloves and snipped chili pepper, stir-fry with the shrimp.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and continue cooking for another minute.

Pour in the soy sauce and mirin (1.5 tablespoons each), toss to coat the shrimp.

Add the chopped spring onions and bean sprouts, stir-fry for a maximum of 1 more minute.

Serve immediately on a plate.
