Lemon Butter Chicken with Basil
A simple yet delicious chicken breast recipe with lemon, butter, and fresh basil, finished with a pan sauce.

- 1 chicken breast, best quality
- butter
- 1 lemon (peel and juice)
- fresh basil
- flour
- splash of white wine
- salt
- pepper

Slice the chicken breast thinly (3-4 slices) and flatten them between parchment paper with a rolling pin.

Coat the chicken slices in flour.

In a pan, melt butter and add lemon peel and fresh basil. Cook for a minute.

Remove the lemon peel and basil from the pan.

Add the floured chicken slices to the pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side.

Add lemon juice and a splash of white wine to the pan.

Add fresh basil again and let everything simmer together for about 8 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve the chicken on a plate and spoon the pan sauce over the top.
