Kingfish with Miso-Wine Sauce

Pan-seared kingfish fillet served with a creamy miso-wine sauce and wilted spinach.

  • Butter
  • Lemon

Hoe doe je het

    Sear the kingfish in a hot pan with butter and herbs until golden on both sides. Remove and set aside.

  2. 02

    Add sliced shallots to the same pan and soften.

  3. 03

    Splash in white wine and let it reduce.

  4. 04

    Stir in white miso paste.

  5. 05

    Add butter and let it melt into the sauce.

  6. 06

    Squeeze lemon juice and add cream, stirring to combine.

  7. 07

    Strain the sauce through a fine-mesh strainer for a smooth finish.

  8. 08

    Add raw spinach to the sauce and let it wilt slightly.

  9. 09

    Return the kingfish to the pan, spoon sauce over, and serve immediately.

Kingfish
Shallots

Method:

1. Sear the kingfish in a hot pan until golden on both sides. Remove and set aside.
2. Add sliced shallots to the same pan. Let them soften.
3. Splash in white wine and let it reduce.
4. Stir in white miso - next level flavor.
5. Add butter and let it melt into the sauce.
6. Squeeze lemon and cream it up with some cream.
7. Strain the sauce for that smooth finish.
8. Add raw spinach and let it just wilt in the heat of the sauce.
9. Place the kingfish back in, spoon the sauce over, and serve immediately.
