Grilled Gamba Blanca Shrimp

Sweet and flavorful gamba blanca shrimp marinated with ginger, garlic, chili, and lemon, then grilled on skewers for a simple, delicious dish.

    Light charcoal in a small grill and let it heat up.

    Thread raw gamba blanca shrimp onto wooden skewers, head and all.

    Place skewered shrimp on a tray. Drizzle with olive oil.

    Grate garlic and ginger over the shrimp.

    Sprinkle dried red chillies over the shrimp.

    Squeeze lemon juice and add lemon zest.

    Season with salt and pepper, then mix everything with your hands.

    Marinate for 30–60 minutes.

    Place the skewered shrimp on the hot grill. Let them char lightly, keeping them juicy.

    Remove from grill and place on a wooden board. Finish with fresh lemon.

Shrimp on the grill.

I use gamba blanca - sweet, soft and full of flavour. The best.

Marinate them for 30–60 minutes in:

- grated ginger

- grated garlic

- dried chillies

lemon zest + juice

a splash of good olive oil

pinch of salt

Thread them on a stick, head and all.
Straight onto the fire.
Let them char lightly and stay juicy.

Finish with fresh lemon.
Eat the whole thing.
Pure flavour. Pure fun.
