Pan con Tomate with Anchovies

Hoe doe je het

    Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

    Toast the slice of bread in the hot pan until golden on both sides.

    Grate the tomatoes on a box grater to create pulp. Strain the pulp through a colander to remove excess liquid.

    Rub the toasted bread with a peeled garlic clove.

    In a measuring cup, combine the strained tomato pulp with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

    Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over the garlic-rubbed toast.

    Place anchovy fillets on top of the tomato-covered toast.

    Garnish with fresh basil leaves.

    Slice the toast into pieces and serve.
