Pan-Fried Trout with Lemon Butter Sauce

Organic trout pan-fried until golden, served with a zesty lemon butter sauce with cherry tomatoes, garlic, chili, and coriander.

  • flour, for coating
  • olive oil
  • lemon, juice and pieces
  • butter, 1 pat
  • white wine, splash
  • cherry tomatoes, halved
  • garlic, cloves smashed
  • fresh chili, 1
  • coriander (fresh green herbs)

Hoe doe je het

  1. 01

    Pat the trout dry and coat lightly with flour.

  2. 02

    Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the trout for about 4 minutes per side until golden.

  3. 03

    Remove the fish from the pan and set aside. Optionally remove the skin.

  4. 04

    In the same pan, squeeze plenty of lemon juice and add lemon pieces, butter, a splash of white wine, halved cherry tomatoes, smashed garlic, and a fresh chili.

    Cook the sauce, stirring, until tomatoes soften. Add fresh coriander and stir.

  6. 06

    Pour the sauce over the cooked trout and serve.

How to make it:
Pat the trout dry, coat lightly with flour, and fry on medium heat for about 4 minutes per side.

For the sauce: squeeze in plenty of lemon juice with some lemon pieces, add butter, a splash of white wine, cherry tomatoes, garlic, a fresh chili, and finally coriander.

Pour this over the golden trout - the taste is simply incredible!
