    Slice the beef into thin pieces.

    Marinate the beef with 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 2 tablespoons soy sauce.

    Blanch the broccoli and mushrooms for about 2 minutes.

    Heat oil and butter in a hot wok or pan.

    Stir-fry the marinated beef until browned.

  6. 06

    Add the blanched broccoli and mushrooms, and stir-fry for a couple more minutes.

    Pour in a dark sauce (e.g., additional soy sauce) and stir to combine.

    Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

    Serve immediately.

This dish is one of my go-to favorites from China, often enjoyed in the afternoons. 🍲🥦 Simple, quick, and incredibly flavorful!

How to make it: 
+ Start by marinating the beef (I used organic entrecôte) with 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 
+ Blanch the broccoli and mushrooms for about 2 minutes. 
+ Stir-fry the marinated beef in a hot wok until browned. 
+ Add the broccoli and mushrooms, stir-fry for a couple more minutes, and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice (you know me by now 😉). 

Serve immediately and enjoy this healthy, flavorful dish! 😋
