Calamares a la Plancha in the Heart of Amsterdam!

On the hotplate in the bustling heart of Amsterdam, I’ve cooked up some delicious Calamares a la Plancha. It’s a simple dish, but oh so tasty. Perfect for a 5 PM snack with a drink! The garlic, parsley, chili, and olive oil… mmmmmm. 😋

Want to make it at home?
Head to your fishmonger and grab some squid. Slice the body into thin rings and sear them in a pan with olive oil. Then, mix up some olive oil, parsley, garlic, and a fresh chili, and toss it into the pan. Let it simmer for a bit, and voilà—your dish is ready to enjoy!

Did you know?
Squid and octopus might look similar, but they’re quite different. Squid have a more streamlined, elongated body and two long tentacles along with eight shorter arms. They also have a small internal shell called a "pen." Octopuses, on the other hand, have a rounder body, eight arms, and no internal shell, making them much more flexible. Well, now you know! 😉
