“Spanish Ensalada Rusa made over an open fire with almond and pine wood!”
Spanish Ensalada Rusa made over an open fire with almond and pine wood! 🔥 Yes, you read that right. The base of this delicious salad is potatoes—now baked directly in the fire. I also sauté the peas and carrots over the wood fire. Canned tuna adds that classic touch, mixed with homemade mayonnaise, two hard-boiled eggs, and finished with delicious anchovies. The light smoky flavor from the wood fire takes this salad to a whole new level… it truly dances on your tongue! 😋 Did you know? Ensalada Rusa, also known as Russian Salad, is a popular dish in Spain despite its name. It was inspired by the Olivier salad, created in the 1860s by a Belgian chef at a fancy restaurant in Moscow. The Spanish version has evolved with local ingredients, becoming a beloved tapas dish. Well, now you know! 😉 Want to make it at home? Simply boil the potatoes, peas, and carrots. Mix them all together, add the tuna, mayonnaise, and hard-boiled eggs. It’s delicious like this, too… but not quite as tasty as when it’s kissed by the wood fire. 😉🔥 #OutdoorCooking #FireCooking #EnsaladaRusa #SpanishFlavors #OrganicIngredients #HealthyAndDelicious #FoodieFavorites #UnderTheSmokeOfAmsterdam #CulinaryAdventure #VinkeveenIsland #mula
